In reality this title is a falsehood. I haven't packed my bags and am not ready to go. Even for exciting things like a trip to another continent I can rarely get going enough to plan and pack in advance. Part of the problem is that until the event is pressing - as in a day or two off - it doesn't seem like a reality. Even now, a week before I board a plane to Munich by way of Toronto, it seems a distant fantasy - like a remembered dream that has faded to the inner recesses of the mind.I'm sure that some of the problem is rooted, naturally, in still being at work - which plods along at its predictably slow and cumbersome gait toward my day of freedom, as the counter to the right indicates.
It could also be other factors. This weekend I have to look forward to not one but two Pearl Jam shows, back-to-back on Saturday/Sunday at the beautiful Gorge outdoor venue in Washington. With no opening band and being the last nights of the North American tour I can't imagine these shows will disappoint. Still though, even they seem far off... Saturday is a million miles away.
This sort of space-cadetness is something I absolutely detest about my personality. It can come in handy at times - not being stressed out about impending doom or whatnot, but I really do yearn for some good old-fashioned keenness. I used to be a great keener but thats a different story for another time.
Anyway, so I'm posting that if there are any interested individuals who'd like a postcard from either Germany, France or Italy they can send an email to c3apollyon at gmail.com with their mailing address and country of choice and i'll do my best to fork out the costs for cards and postage.
In the meantime check out my Travel Photo Blog at http://jharman.blogspot.com. I've uploaded some of my favourites from my previous trips to Mexico, Central America and Costa Rica and will add new posts for Europe rather than doing the mass-email thing (dial-up users beware, all pictures are huge mother-f*#$ers)
Adios

I must be drunk because I swear that I just read a blog where you whined that you weren’t excited enough about your upcoming trip to Europe. Please, maybe we better send in Sally Struthers and her army of cameramen to help you out. For only the price of a cup of coffee a day you can help Jason feel more excited about his TRIP TO MOTHERF@!king Europe. You Lucky son of a B#tch.
In all seriousness, have fun man. You deserve the vacation and you are going to need it to recharge before your lazy ass heads back to university for round 2.
Cheers
Shayne
P.S – Avoid all shop owners named Paco. They are not what they appear to be.

BULL-SHITE, my friend! you've often stressed about the negatives things more so than the exciting ones....
Eg: "I have no place to stay in Toronto!"
